FUTURE HEALTH LEADERS ASSOCIATION (FHLA)

• About FHLA & Membership

  The purpose of FHLA is to provide programs and venues where 91¶ÌÊÓƵ students may network and affiliate with 91¶ÌÊÓƵ alumni and those employed in healthcare administration or other leadership positions. 

  FHLA also sponsors activities that generate funding to assist members to participate in career-enhancing programs, such as guest lectures or professional meetings. 

  The FHLA network of professional associations includes, but is not limited to, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Medical Group Management Association, the American Healthcare Association, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Utah Hospital Association, and any local subsidiary of such associations, such as the Utah Healthcare Executives.

  Currently-enrolled students of 91¶ÌÊÓƵ in The Dumke College of Health Professions are eligible for membership in FHLA. This includes any pre-medical majors, such as clinical laboratory sciences, zoology or chemistry.

  2021 Annual Case Competition

  The 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Healthcare Case Competition is a unique opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students to promote awareness of and develop innovative solutions to health issues. The case competition is designed to offer students in health professions the opportunity to apply their coursework to a real-world situation and present recommendations to a panel of healthcare professionals. Due to COVID-19 the 2021 Case Competition is currently on hold.

   

  Annual Golf Tournament

  The Department of Health Administration and Utah Healthcare Executives will be hosting their annual Health Executive Golf Tournament. This is a great opportunity for students, professionals and alumni to network and meet and greet. No golfing skills required.
