Research Grant Proposal Deadlines

At least 2 weeks prior to the deadline, complete the following

Workshop & Submit Quiz
Email Committee Representative & Mentor
  • October 5, 2024
  • November 5, 2024
  • February 5, 2025
  • April 5, 2025

If the deadline falls on a weekend, the date will be moved to the following Monday.

Research Proposal Workshops

  • Complete the Proposal Workshop and submit the quiz at least 2 weeks prior to the Grant Proposal Deadline.
 

 

Ergo

We no longer have deadlines!

New Ergo Process:

  • Students can submit their articles whenever they are ready: https://ur.weber.edu
  • Once we receive the article, OUR will do an internal review and find a faculty reviewer from the same discipline as the student researcher.
  • The student researcher will receive feedback and comments within 45 days from the date of submission.
  • Students will have 10 days to address new comments and revise for publication.
  • Students will be informed of which volume of Ergo they can expect to be published in and the anticipated publication date.
 

NCUR

  • OUR Funding Submission Deadline:  November 5, 2024
  • Notification of Funding:  November 15, 2024
     
  • NCUR Submission Accepted:  December 6, 2024
  • Early Conference Registration Deadline:  January 31, 2025
  • Conference Registration Deadline:  March 7, 2024
     
  • NCUR Conference:  April 7-9, 2025

UCUR

  • UCUR Submissions Accepted: September 9 - November 8, 2024
  • Registration Deadline:  January 24, 2025
  • UCUR Conference:  February 28, 2025Complete the Proposal Workshop and submit the quiz at least 2 weeks prior to the Research Grant Proposal Deadline.
 

Course-Based Research (CRE)

CRE-Attribute Request Form Deadlines:

  • Classes taught Spring Semester:  October 1, 2024
  • Classes taught Fall Semester:  March 1, 2025

CRE Grant Application Deadlines:

  • Classes taught Spring Semester: November 5, 2024
  • Classes taught Fall Semester:  April 5, 2025

Travel Grant Proposal Deadlines

  • Travel Grant Proposals will be due the 1st Tuesday of each month. 
  • Available funds for the year will be equally distributed across 12 months.
  • Calls for travel grants will start in June (for travel after Jun 30) and the last call will be in May (for any travel between May and June).
  • If requested funds are greater than available funds, then grants will be prorated.
  • If requested funds are less than available funds, remaining funds will roll over to the next month.
  • Students should apply within 45 days of acceptance. The window is to ensure we can obtain reasonably priced airfare, hotel, and early registration.
