Poster Printing
The Office of Undergraduate Research operates a large format printer to facilitate conference poster printing. As part of our support for dissemination of research, this service is available to students and faculty for presentation at a conference at no cost. Please follow the guidelines and instructions below.
Please send your poster via email to our@weber.edu at least 1 week before you need it. (Different deadlines may apply for large events such as the Research and Engagement Symposium, UCUR, and NCUR.)
- Use subject line "Poster Printing."
- Indicate in your email the name of the conference at which you will be presenting and the date you wish to have it printed.
*For students and faculty who wish to print a poster for a class or non-research event, the cost of printing is $5 per linear foot, $15 for a 42" x 36" poster.
Poster Design Guidelines
- Template Requirement: For free printing, you must use our poster template.
- Resolution: Ensure poster images are high resolution for optimal quality.
- Background Colors: Avoid dark backgrounds with light text. We may refuse to print posters with overly saturated backgrounds. Lighter, less saturated background colors print better, dry faster, and smear less.
- Sizing must be 42" by 36":
- Adobe Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.): Save your final file as a PDF sized 42" x 36".
- PowerPoint: Format your poster to 42" x 36" and save it as a PDF.
File Preparation and Submission
- Accepted File: PDF only.
- Proofreading: Posters will be printed exactly as submitted. We do not proofread or edit your files, so please ensure your file is fully reviewed before sending it.
- File Submission:
