ALEKS Math PPL

  • If you do not have a math placement, or if you want to challenge your placement, you should take the ALEKS Math PPL assessment.
  • Placement testing will be unavailable during finals week.
  • The ALEKS Math PPL fee will be waived. No purchase will be necessary.

What is ALEKS Math PPL?

ALEKS Placement, Preparation, and Learning is an online math learning system that uses adaptive questioning to quickly and accurately provide you with a comprehensive overview of your current strengths and weaknesses in math. After your first assessment, you will have access to individualized learning modules to help you improve your math skills. 

Proctored Exams

  • Students must register for an ALEKS account.
  • All ALEKS assessments must be taken in an approved testing center. 
  • Students must wait a minimum of 24 hours between each assessment.
  • Students must work in the learning modules for at least 3 hours between each assessment.
  • Calculators are not allowed, but scratch paper will be provided.

Distance Testing

→In-Person Distance Testing 

Students living in the United Sates with a permanent address located more than 50 miles from the nearest 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Testing Center may also request to take their placement exam at an approved testing center. For further details, please email jaegerschuelke@weber.edu.


→Online Distance Testing 

Students may be approved to test remotely if they live 50 or more miles away from the nearest Testing Center.
