Fiji 2020
Projects:
- New roof on local high school damaged from Cyclone Winston in 2016
- Build bathrooms in the women's co-op structure
- Build lockable storage closet & charging station for laptops
Needs:
38 Chromebooks for the students, administrators and local women's co-op
Other details for participants:
- All excursion will be booked by individuals attending (transportation is usually included from the hotel)
- All food while traveling through airports & at resorts (except breakfast which is included) will be purchased by participants (all meals included while in Nambouwalu)
- The Airfare will be booked by participants.
- The cost of the trip will be $600 per person which will include resort accommodations upon arrival and before we leave, (2 nights in Pacific Harbor Resort and 2 nights in Nadi), plus transportation while we are in Fiji.
Tentative Schedule:
February 27
Depart around 7:00 PM from SLC Airport
February 29th Arrive in Nadi, Fiji around 6:00AM
Drive to Pacific Harbor
Optional excursions (Scuba or Dive Tour, SUVA day trip, relaxing on the beach)
March 1st
Optional excursions (Scuba or Dive Tour, SUVA day trip, relaxing on the beach)
March 2nd
Transport to Suva at 3:00 AM
Bus to Natovi @ 4:30 AM
Ferry to Nambouwalu @ 7:00 AM arriving at 11:00 AM
Tour work sites and deliver goods that we brought for them
March 3rd
Split into 3 groups and work on those projects all day (Computer Lab, Bathrooms, School Roof)
March 4th
Split into 3 groups and work on those projects all day (Computer Lab, Bathrooms, School Roof)
March 5th
Split into 3 groups and work on those projects half day (Computer Lab, Bathrooms, School Roof)
March 6th
Celebrations at all 3 sites prior to departing on ferry for Natovi @ 11:30 AM
Bus from Natovi @ 3:30 PM arriving at Nadi Hotel around 7:30 PM
March 7th
Optional excursions (Scuba or Dive Tour, SUVA day trip, relaxing on the beach)
March 8th
Optional excursions (Scuba or Dive Tour, SUVA day trip, relaxing on the beach)
Flight leaves Nadi Airport @ 9:40 PM and Arrives in SLC at 6:30 PM
