Funding Sources for Services
Facilities Management is funded to provide many services at no cost to the department, but some require departments to pay for them.
Summary of Departmentally Funded Services:
- Department owned equipment
- Services to auxiliaries
- Shepherd Union Building
- University Bookstore
- Food Services (including all concession buildings)
- Student Health Services
- Residence Halls (Stewart Wasatch, Residence Hall 1, Residence Hall 3 & University Village)
- Stewart Sky Suites
- Training and Learning Center (TLC)
- West Center
- All special events
- President’s residence
- Repair or replacement of furnishings and other items damaged by abuse
- Repair or replacement and maintenance of all items not original to the building’s construction
- All requests for building remodeling or alterations
Examples of FM Funded Services
- Routine cleaning of most buildings
- Supply and installation of paper products in restrooms
- Landscape and snow removal
- Elevator Maintenance
- Garbage removal
- Preventive and corrective maintenence of campus infrastructure, ie. plumbing and electrical
- Replacement of filters
