Studying Biology at Weber State

Weber State’s Associate of Science in Biology prepares you to complete your bachelor’s degree in botany, microbiology, zoology or biology composite teaching  at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ. You could also transfer to other institutions to complete a biology bachelor's program, or continue in coursework needed to meet entrance requirements for professional schools.

Biology Highlights

Biology students take the same classes as those earning bachelor’s degrees in life sciences, such as botany, zoology and microbiology, making it easy to transition to a four-year degree program.

Weber State’s Tracy Hall Science Center, where you’ll take the majority of your major classes, features state-of-the-art research labs, study spaces and areas for student life.

Biology class sizes are small, allowing for individualized attention.

Beyond the Classroom

As a biology major, you can join College of Science clubs and organizations, such as pre-professional clubs, Multicultural Advancement of Science (MAS), and Scientistas, which regularly host guest speakers, hold field trips and offer service opportunities.

While earning your degree, you can gain practical research experience at field sites in northern Utah.
