Studying Communication at Weber State
A communication degree from Weber State is a good choice for students who are interested in a career in the media or another communications field. This program helps students develop their technical and visual communication expertise, along with important interpersonal skills.
Communication Highlights
The communication program offers small class sizes and hands-on instruction. In the bachelor’s degree program, you will tailor your education to your interests by choosing an area of emphasis. Each emphasis will give you the hands-on experience you need to succeed in whatever area of communication you choose to pursue as a career, whether it's social media management, journalism or civic advocacy, just to name a few.
Beyond the Classroom
You can get hands-on experience working with Weber State’s newspaper, The Signpost and media channels Studio 76 and Wildcat Radio.
The Weber State debate team is consistently competitive on regional and national levels, and student organizations such as the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) allow you to attend events and learn from working professionals.
