Whether you're interested in a career in dramaturgy, set design, theatre management or a variety of other theatre paths, our program provides a variety of courses and hands-on experiences to equip you with the skills needed to succeed in the theatre industry.

Theatre Arts Highlights

Weber State theatre arts students have designed and managed award-winning play productions, receiving national recognition for scripts, costumes, set designs and more. 

Beyond the Classroom

As a design and technical management major, you'll have the opportunity to build and design sets, manage productions and see how the industry professionals work outside of classroom.

What You’ll Learn at Weber

As a theatre arts student, you’ll gain a deeper knowledge of the theatre industry and develop strong skills in all areas of theatre design and technical management. Students learn to innovate, work with limited resources and find unique solutions to common theatre problems. In addition to developing your skills as a designer or manager, you'll learn critical thinking, collaboration and problem solving techniques.

What You Can Do After Weber

Theatre arts graduates who pursue careers in design and technical management can go on to work as set designers, managers and a variety of other careers on on Broadway, in theme parks, cruise ships and film and television. Our design, technical and management students are employed throughout the country.
