Dr. Ho earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah, and B.S. from Brigham Young University. His dissertation was focused on nuclear-renewable hybrid energy systems, energy system design, modeling, control, and optimization, using each of these tools to optimize the performance of energy and process systems. He has published multiple research papers in nuclear-hybrid energy systems, molten salt reactors, hydrogen storage, and battery storage.

He also has experience working for Idaho National Laboratory, working on advanced nuclear energy technology. His work involved building digital twin models of nuclear integrated energy systems.

His current research interests include nuclear hybrid energy systems, grid stability, grid flexibility, and energy storage.
