MHA Highlights

Traveling to the Nexus of Global Healthcare

In spring of 2024, MHA and eMHA students will travel to a global healthcare industry epicenter: Geneva, Switzerland. Home to the World Health Organization and many other global healthcare entities. Switzerland ranks high in healthcare outcomes. While there, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ students will meet and greet with healthcare professionals, visit renowned healthcare facilities, and (of course) wonder at many cultural destinations. Study abroad has long been a value-added component of the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ MHA program.

Program Reaccredited with CAHME

Once again, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s MHA program has been accredited by the gold standard for health care education: the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Both the face-to-face MHA and online eMHA formats were included in this reaccreditation process. Following a rigorous site visit from the accreditation team, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ was reaccredited for a seven-year term. “The reaccreditation of the MHA program at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ demonstrates the program’s ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional learning experience for students based on a solid competency model,” said Dr. Darcy Carter, program director, in an associated news release.

CAHME accredits 141 academic programs in healthcare management. It ensures that graduates undergo an educational process that meets thorough, measurable standards for effectiveness. It is the only organization recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation to grant accreditation to academic programs that offer graduate degrees in healthcare management. 91¶ÌÊÓƵ was first awarded CAHME accreditation in 2013.
