Biography

Amanda Covington is a seasoned communications and government relations executive. With more than 20 years of experience leading corporate communications and government relations strategies Covington impacts financial communications, crisis communications, domestic and international media/public relations, corporate branding and advertising, digital media, employee relations, public policy and legislation, industry associations, and community relations. Throughout her career, she has held significant roles, including serving as Senior Vice President of Communications and Government Relations for Vista Outdoor Inc. and Vice President of Corporate Communications for ATK, an aerospace, defense, and commercial products company. She also has a strong background in broadcast journalism, having worked for Utah's NBC and ABC affiliates. Beyond her professional achievements, Covington is actively engaged in community service, serving as Chair of the Utah Board of Higher Education, the executive board of the Utah Women’s Leadership Institute, the 47G board, and the board of directors for the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. Her dedication to education is evident through her past service as a trustee for 91¶ÌÊÓƵ and Davis Technical College.
