Biography

Dave Thomas was an educator before transitioning into the dynamic realm of marketing, initially as a composer/producer for radio and TV commercials. His knack for crafting compelling creative concepts soon led to the establishment of his first ad agency successfully acquired by EvansGroup, later Publicis, where Thomas eventually held the position of President in the Salt Lake office. In 2003, Thomas co-founded ThomasArts alongside his three sons, where his strategic vision and marketing prowess have propelled the agency forward. Renowned for his expertise in Medicare marketing, Thomas has steered the strategic direction of numerous brands, including industry giants such as Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Coventry Health Care, and EmblemHealth. Over the years, he has cultivated a diverse portfolio, collaborating with esteemed organizations like AARP, Zions Bank, and the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Thomas’ exceptional contributions to the field of advertising were recognized with the prestigious Silver Medal Award by the Utah Advertising Federation in 2010, and he was honored as CEO of the Year by Utah Business magazine in 2020. Thomas and his wife Kathy, are strong examples of community engagement and enjoy supporting 91¶ÌÊÓƵ.
