Biography

Fran Wheeler is currently Senior Counsel (formerly Partner) at Cooley LLP, a law firm of over 1,300 attorneys across 19 officers’ in the United States, Asia and Europe.  His work specializes in corporate, securities, and transactional matters. With extensive experience in public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, he has established himself as a trusted advisor to a diverse range of clients. Wheeler is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Bar Association and the National Association of Corporate Directors. He has received recognition in prestigious legal publications such as Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and the Legal500 M&A Private Practice Powerlist. Beyond impacting the legal field, Wheeler and his wife, LeAnn, have demonstrated their support to education through their philanthropic endeavors. They have endowed a lecture series at Weber State that facilitates mentorship and guidance for pre-law students.
