Biography

Jewel Lee Kenley, a pillar of the Utah community, has distinguished herself as a compassionate business leader and dedicated philanthropist. Following the loss of her husband, Ed Kenley, in a 1993 auto accident, she demonstrated remarkable resilience in preserving and expanding the legacy of the Ed Kenley Ford dealership. Under her guidance, the dealership earned accolades such as the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award and a place in the Automobile Hall of Fame. 

Beyond her entrepreneurial success, Kenley’s commitment to community service is evident in her extensive involvement on various boards, including those of Davis Hospital & Medical Center, Weber Basin Water Conservancy District, and several at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ. A memorial of Kenley’s commitment to her community is seen in the Edward A. Kenley Amphitheatre, built with donations from Jewel Lee, Layton City and the general public. Her dedication to education as well is exemplified by the establishment of scholarships at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ in memory of her husband and daughter. Kenley’s legacy of compassion and generosity continues to enrich the lives of countless individuals, embodying the spirit of service and resilience.
