Biography
Nolan Karras, has excelled in various roles, from his tenure as a Chief Financial Officer at Jack B. Parson Companies to founding his own successful investment advisory business. His expertise in finance and governance has seen him serve on the boards of prominent organizations, including Merit Medical, Utah Power, and PacifiCorp. Beyond his business acumen, Karras is committed to public service. Elected to the Utah House of Representatives in 1980, he rose to become Majority Leader and Speaker of the House, playing a pivotal role in funding the construction of Olympic facilities and guiding legislation that elevated Weber State to a university. His impact extends to education advocacy, where he co-chairs Education First, a political action committee supporting public and higher education in Utah. Karras’ service extends to various community initiatives, including JustServe.org, where he and his wife Lynda have supervised efforts to assist those in need.
