Biography

Steven Petersen's journey exemplifies entrepreneurial spirit, starting from humble beginnings in a garage alongside his father. Beginning his welding career at the age of 14, Petersen swiftly mastered the craft, expanding into specialized welding, sheet fabrication, and machining. This diversification laid the foundation for Petersen, Inc.'s growth. Today, Petersen, Inc. employs more than 450 individuals and operates from a large facility in Ogden. Along with contributing to the company's core focuses including steel fabrication, precision machining, field services installation, and warehousing/distribution, Petersen’s influence extends beyond manufacturing, as seen in his involvement in professional and community organizations. He serves as president of the Utah Steel Fabrication Association, and a member of the Weber County economic development board.
