Thomas A. Lockhart Jr. serves as the Director of the Capability and Resource Integration Directorate (J8) at the United States Space Command, part of the Senior Executive Service. Based at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, Lockhart plays a pivotal role in establishing the command's requirements and advocating for its missions of deterring aggression, protecting U.S. interests in space, and developing joint warfighters. With a career spanning more than three decades, Lockhart has held diverse leadership positions within the U.S. Air Force, showcasing his expertise in engineering, technical management, and strategic planning. From his early roles as a Design Engineer at Hill Air Force Base to his leadership positions at the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Lockhart has been instrumental in shaping the future of national security and defense. His extensive experience, coupled with a dedication to professional development, positions him as a key leader in ensuring the nation's continued superiority in space operations and defense.
