Observatory
The Public Observatory offers nine sets of high powered binoculars, an astronomical library, and 9 state-of-the-art medium-sized personal telescopes. Its inventory also includes various sizes of eye pieces, solar filters, and laser pointers to guide in star hunting. It also is a science education facility used in 91¶ÌÊÓƵ academic classes. We host free public observing nights, and the observatory can be reserved starting at $100 per hour, with a 1 hour minimum reservation. This includes access to the telescopes and staff on hand to assist in their use. Please email for more information.

Reserving the Observatory
Observing hours are from after sunset to midnight*, Monday to Saturday. Reservations must be made at least a week in advance. Please see the contact uspage for location and directions.
*Solar observing during the day is available upon request.
