REACH Nationwide
The Recreate, Educate, Advocate, and Climb Higher (REACH) program, is a recreation service for youth with Type 1 Diabetes and their families through the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
REACH programs have helped attendees increase resiliency at family diabetes camp, foster friendships during monthly programs, increase diabetes knowledge during the Tween/Tween Camp and build effective community partnerships overall.
The Virginia-based REACH program, which has been operating for more than 10 years, has used evidence-based practice to create a community of practice to better serve youth with diabetes at the national level.
