Esther Meroño Baro (she/they) has many roles, including that of mamá, friend, artist, and community organizer. She often serves her community as a volunteer organizer and messenger with local campaigns, most recently Utahn Convos on Anti-Blackness and #ShutDownMTC. Over the past decade, Esther has also had the opportunity to serve as a digital and narrative organizer with multi-racial campaigns and movements across the U.S. that center racial, gender, and economic justice, including the Poor People's Campaign and the Sanctuary Movement. Currently, they are serving as an organizer and facilitator with the People's Energy Movement, a collective of community organizers working together to build a movement for a Just Transition. Esther is also in the process of co-developing a worker-owned cooperative for grassroots organizers and artists in Utah.
