Karen Jackson is a retired Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who joined Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) 8 years ago. She was concerned for the children she cared for as climate change was affecting the health and safety of this population. She began creating political will for climate solutions through her leadership of the CCL Writer's Group by submitting climate "Letters to the Editor" and "Opinions" to local Newspapers. She enjoys helping others create their own letters to educate the public and influence Members of Congress to take climate action.
Karen lives in SLC with her husband and two dogs. She tends to a Monarch Butterfly Waystation where the endangered butterfly can complete its lifestyle within her pollinator garden.
