Browning Presents! 2017-2018 Season
Browning Presents! was honoured to bring the following performers, scholars, and artists to the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ during the 2017-2018 season. Please read below for a summary of each event.
Cornel West
Friday, January 12, 2018 at 7 p.m. - Austad Auditorium
Author, activist and professor Cornel West spoke to a sold-out crowd at the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's Browning Center on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018. West visited Ogden as part of 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's focus on increasing civility throughout the school year. West spoke about building community and combating prejudice, while also warning of the dangers the country could face if those challenges aren't addressed.
Marcus Roberts
Saturday, September 16, 2017 - Allred Theater - 7:30 p.m.
The Marcus Roberts Trio visited campus for a week in early September to interact and conduct master classes with more than 100 91¶ÌÊÓƵ students. Students shared that the week was "unlike any other," "so valuable," and one noted, "I will remember this for a lifetime." The week concluded with a sold-out performance for the community.
