Departmental Scholarship

Each academic year the Construction and Building Sciences Department offers scholarships from industry partners. Please apply at the link below by March 31, 2024.

Follow these steps to apply for scholarships in the Department of Construction & Building Sciences:

  1. Apply to 91¶ÌÊÓƵ.
  2. Fill out the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Financial Aid and Scholarship Application online.
  3. Complete FAFSA application for need-based scholarships.
  4. Apply to the .

Incoming CBS Freshman Scholarship

For any Construction and Building Sciences Department Declared Majors please e-mail Elizabeth Hill ehill@weber.edu to declare your major in

  • Architectural Design
  • Construction Management
  • Facilities Management

April 1 of every year

Concurrent Enrollment Edge Scholarship

Eligibility will be determined when you apply for 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Financial Aid and Scholarships in step 2.

AGC of Utah Scholarship

Deadline: November 15, 2024

The AGC of Utah offers a yearly scholarship opportunity for those pursuing their undergraduate degree(s) in construction or a construction-related program.

In the hopes to develop the skills of the future workforce, the AGC of Utah awarded $15,000 worth of scholarship money to 24 undergraduate students in our state. These scholarships are awarded each January with the application due Wednesday, November 15, 2024

 

 

Ivory Foundation Construction & Building Sciences Pathway Scholarship

Did you take courses in Construction, Architectural CAD,  or Interior Design in High School? Apply for the UAEC Pathways scholarship for $2,000 annually for up $8,000. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Participated in one of Utah's Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Pathway Tracks in the past 2 years
  • Planning to attend 91¶ÌÊÓƵ with a declared major in the Construction & Building Sciences Department
  • Committed to maintaining a 2.5-grade point average
  • Committed to attending Seminar, Design-Build Day, and Evening with Industry

Preference will be given to students are:

  • First Generation or 
  • Non-traditional or
  • Active or retired military
  • Completers of any track within the UAEC pathway

Recipients may use the award for tuition, fees and other educational expenses. If the scholarship award amounts, when combined with other sources of scholarships and financial aid,  exceed tuition and fees, the student may receive a residual disbursement for the remainder of the award.

Industry Scholarships

Eligibility will be determined when you apply for 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Financial Aid and Scholarships in step 2.

Associated General Contractor of America Education and Research Foundation Scholarship

Must desire a career in the construction industry and be a full-time student

Deadline:
November 1 of every year

The Chairish ‘Design Your Future’ Scholarship ($2,500)

  • Open to graduating high school seniors, college undergraduates, and graduate students of any major
  • Students are asked to submit a 500-word essay designing their ideal future and their plans to achieve that dream
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA required
  • Students must be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited 2-year, 4-year, or vocational/technical college or university in the U.S. 

Deadline:
January and June of every year

NAWIC Founders Scholarship Foundation

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in a construction-related degree program at a school in the United States and must have a least one term remaining in a course of study leading to a degree or an associate degree in a construction-related field. High school seniors and those pursuing graduate degrees are not eligible.
  •  Applicant must desire a career in a construction-related field. 
  •  Applicant must be enrolled full-time.
  •  Applicant must have a current cumulative GPA or 3.0 or higher to be considered for awards.
  •  To be considered, the Application and all attachments must be complete and received via email by February 28th for the next following academic year. If your school only mails transcripts, please email NFSF (nfsf@nawic.org) for the address to mail the transcripts to. Official sealed transcripts must also be received no later than February 28th. THIS DEADLINE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.
  •  Only students enrolled in a school in the United States will be considered for awards.
