Budget/Admin Assistant
The Campus Recreation Budget/Admin Assistant supports the Budget/Admin Specialist and the Campus Recreation Department in the areas of maintenance of employee payroll, general clerical duties such as filing and maintenance of employee, payroll and financial files, preparation of monthly p-card statements, reconciliation of specific revenues, flagging discrepancies, certification reminders, staff onboarding process, office supplies inventory and notification of low supplies, errand running as needed and other duties as assigned. This person will be trained in the use of specific 91¶ÌÊÓƵ online systems for these responsibilities. This position reports to the Budget/Administrative Support Specialist.

Student Office/Access Assistant
The Campus Recreation Office/Access Assistant serves a front line role in the department’s delivery of customer service. In the Office Assistant role, this position responds to participant needs and inquiries in person in the office, over the phone, as well as at special events. Daily duties include registering participants for department programs, providing friendly and informative responses to participant questions, reliable handling of cash (opening/closing cash register, processing payments, balancing register, etc.), and other projects as assigned. Then in the Access Assistant role, this position responds to participant needs as they enter the Wildcat Center or Davis Fitness Center. Daily duties include greeting customers as they enter the facility, ensuring each customer has proper credentials to enter facility, providing friendly and informative responses to participant questions, and other projects as assigned. This position reports to the CR Associate Director.

The Campus Recreation (CR) Facility Supervisor serves as the student employee in charge during their shift, filling a paraprofessional role by liaising between professional staff and hourly staff/participants. The supervisor conducts program rounds including Stromberg expansion and arena, Swenson Pool and the Outdoor Program in Outdoor Adventure & Welcome Center. Duties include completing risk management check-lists, trouble-shooting participant and hourly staff issues, and ensuring smooth operations with CR programs, services, and facilities. This position addresses immediate facility custodial needs (bathroom/locker room supplies, spot-cleaning). This position reports to the CR Associate Director.

Marketing
Junior Graphic Designer
The Campus Recreation student junior graphic designer is responsible to assist the Marketing Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator with designing print and web graphics for all of the Campus Recreation program areas. Including flyers, posters, manuals, brochures, web banners and more, that effectively represent the mission, vision and goals of the department and program area. The position will be responsible for updating and adapting existing graphics as well as producing graphics from concept through production. This position will help prepare the student for a career in graphic design through hands-on experience, including communicating with a variety of clients from a variety of program areas, fulfilling project requirements, designing within printer specifications and meeting deadlines. It will also provide the student with design pieces for their portfolio. This position reports to the Marketing Coordinator.

The Campus Recreation Marketing Promotion Specialist is responsible for assisting the Marketing Coordinator with promoting department of Campus Recreation programs, services, and events. The Marketing Promotion Specialist may be assigned graphic designing or photography/videography projects, depending on skillset. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with department social media venues (with authorization of supervisor), following best practices for social media/photography/videography, organizing and facilitating tabling events, distributing and maintaining inventory of promotional materials, conducting promotional presentations, assisting with assessment efforts including tracking/evaluating activities, participating in required training/meetings, maintaining current American Red Cross certifications in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid, and assisting with other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Marketing Coordinator.

Aquatics & Safety
Aquatics and Safety (AQS) Program
Water Safety Instructor (WSI)*
The WSI is responsible for teaching the learn-to-swim program following American Red Cross protocols. Duties include ensuring the safety of participants utilizing the pool and facility area around the pool, managing risk, teaching lessons to ARC standards, providing customer service to participants, and the setup and take down of swim lessons.

The lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of participants utilizing the Swenson pool on the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ campus. Duties include scanning and patrolling pool areas for safety and risk management, providing care in the case of an emergency or injury, enforcing facility and program policies, providing customer service to participants, and providing daily upkeep/maintenance of office and pool facilities.

Competitive Sports
Competitive Sports Manager
The Competitive Sports (CoSpo) Managers assist the CoSpo professional staff in advising the 15+ clubs that are under Campus Recreation by ensuring clubs are in compliance with 91¶ÌÊÓƵ and risk management protocols regarding budget, travel, purchases, and many other elements. This position also assists the CoSpo professional staff with the administration of the intramural events throughout the year.

Competitive Sports Supervisor
The Competitive Sports (CoSpo) Supervisors work with both Competitive Sport programs. CoSpo Supervisors are responsible for supervising Intramural events, Sport Club practices and events taking place at various campus locations throughout the year. Duties include setting up and breaking down fields/courts for competition, managing risk, troubleshooting and finding solutions to issues during activities, handling disciplinary issues with participants, providing customer service to participants, recording game results and updating/posting standings each day, assisting the CoSpo professional staff with conducting officials training, promoting activities, and other duties as assigned.

Intramural Official
Intramural (IM) Officials are responsible for officiating intramural events taking place at various campus locations throughout the year. IM Officials serve as the face of the department at intramural events and other Campus Recreation functions. Duties include providing customer service, practicing conflict resolution, preparing facilities for competition, and enforcing intramural and Campus Rec rules and procedures.

Sport Club Leadership Positions
Sport Club Leadership (SCL) is made up of the Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Treasurers, Secretaries, and other student leadership positions of various clubs that are responsible for the operations of non-NCAA athletic teams. SCL recruit club members, create a club constitution, hold team meetings/practices/competitions, and work with the Competitive Sports Staff to ensure compliance with 91¶ÌÊÓƵ and risk management protocols regarding budget, travel, equipment purchasing, etc.

Sport Club Council Members
Three students sit on the Sport Club Council (SCC) along with 91¶ÌÊÓƵ staff and faculty to give input on issues related to Sports Clubs such as disciplinary/reward actions, student fee and activity waiver allotments, and policies and protocols. Student members are voted onto the Council by members of the Sports Club Leadership.

Personal Fitness Trainer
Personal Fitness Trainers (PFT) create and implement safe and effective exercise programs for apparently healthy adults. Duties include managing risk, remaining current on exercise science principles, and providing customer service to participants. PFTs must hold a nationally recognized PFT certification, and be American Red Cross certified in CPR/AED/First Aid.

The Functional Fitness Consultant (FFC) is responsible for ensuring the safety of participants utilizing the strength and cardio areas at the Wildcat Center and Davis campus fitness facility. The FFC is responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming, encouraging environment for patrons using the facility. The FFC actively supervises the facility, provides tours as needed, ensures the cleanliness and organization of the equipment, & conducts fitness center orientations by appointment. FFCs will be trained on all duties, policies, and procedures prior to their first shift. This position reports to the Fitness Coordinator.

Group Exercise Instructors (GEI) choreograph and conduct safe, effective, and fun group exercise classes for apparently healthy adults. Outdoor Program
Challenge Course Manager
The OP CC Manager assists the OP coordinator with operations and programming of the CC program and is responsible for the daily operations/programming of the CC. Duties include knowledge of challenge course operation and program facilitation, training/scheduling/supervising/evaluating challenge course facilitators, reviewing staff payroll, managing risk, remaining current on team dynamics principles, researching and proposing equipment/programming needs, and providing customer service to participants.
Challenge Course Facilitator
The CCF leads group initiatives on the OP Challenge Course. Duties include program preparation, setup, take down, risk management, conducting group orientation, and providing customer service to participants. This position also requires some knowledge of challenge course operation and facilitation.

The CWM assists the OP coordinator with operations and programming of the climbing wall and is responsible for the daily operations/programming of the Weber Rocks Climbing Facility. Duties include instructing staff and participants in proper lead climbing technique and belay and tie-in technique, managing risk, reviewing staff payroll, cash handling transactions for gear rental and day passes, conducting and documenting wall maintenance and equipment inventories, and providing customer service to participants.
Climbing Wall Attendant
The Climbing Wall Attendant will be primarily responsible for maintaining a high level of safety within the Weber Rocks Climbing Facility. Attendant will be responsible for teaching participant's proper belay and tie-in technique as well as handling cash transactions for gear rental and day passes. Basic wall maintenance and cleaning duties will be required.

The Rental Technician will be primarily responsible for checking-out, checking-in, inspecting, cleaning and maintenance of outdoor equipment, and the registration of participants for adventure programs. Candidates must have a strong interest in outdoor recreation, experience working with outdoor equipment, the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, and great customer service.

The RM assists the OP coordinator with operations of the OP Rental Center and is responsible for the daily operations of the Rental Center. Duties include training/scheduling/supervising/evaluating rental center employees, managing risk, cash handling system and rental database maintenance, equipment maintenance and inventories, reviewing staff payroll, and providing customer service to participants. Candidates must have a strong interest in outdoor recreation, experience working with outdoor equipment, and the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
Adventure Program Trip Leader
Work as part of the Outdoor Program team to instruct and lead participants in a variety of outdoor related outings, clinics, or classes. Become familiar with and adhere to the OP Curriculum's, OP Standards of Practice, and other materials deemed appropriate. Take responsibility for safety of participants, equipment, vehicles, and other resources. Establish the necessary relationship with participants in order to develop familiarity with their skill development and/or recreational experience. Initiate appropriate rescue response and/or the administration of first aid during course related emergencies. Perform other duties and specific course responsibilities as assigned.
Marketing Specialist
The OP Marketing Specialist assists the OP coordinators and Campus Rec Marketing Coordinator in promoting OP activities and programs. Duties include creating promotional campaigns, designing promotional posters/flyers/visual materials, working with event sponsors, organizing promotional events, managing risk in marketing/promotional activities and providing customer service to participants.
