Carl D. Perkins Information
The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21 st Century Act (Perkins V) was signed into law on July 31, 2018. This bipartisan measure reauthorized the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins IV) and continued Congress’ commitment in providing nearly $1.4 billion annually for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs for every student to explore, choose, and follow career and technical education programs of study and career pathways to earn Certificates and Associate’s Degrees.
91¶ÌÊÓƵ receives federal funding from Perkins V. Funds are used to help students attain academic and technical skills to help them succeed in high-wage, high-skill, and high-demand careers. The Act requires the university to report on student progress in achieving negotiated performance targets in the Perkins core performance indicators. The following links show the current negotiated performance targets and the resulting local plan for accomplishing these targets.
