Electra Gamón Fielding, Ph.D. - Professor of Spanish

¡Hola!

I have been working as full-time faculty at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ since fall 2011 in the Department of World Languages & Cultures. My research interests are varied and include women writers in Medieval and Early Modern Spain, and the presence of Orientalized elements in Spanish cultural production. Although I have specialized in the teaching and research of Spanish literature and culture, I also teach language courses on a regular basis from beginning Spanish to advanced in traditional formats, hybrid and online. I also teach Medical Spanish and Medical Translation, and I look forward to continue researching and studying this topic.
