Extra Life Game-A-Thon

Join us for a 24-hour gaming marathon to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals®
All community members welcome - open to everyone!

9 a.m. November 2 through 9 a.m. November 3

The Game-A-Thon is an annual 24-hour gaming marathon during which participants raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. We will be raising money for  that supports 170 children's hospitals across the US and Canada. Psi Phi Psi started the Extra Life tradition on campus and we’ve decided to join them in gaming for a good cause. Donations go to member children’s hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, and child life services.

Extra Life 2024 Gaming Schedule - Open to Everyone!

Day One: Saturday, November 2nd

Video Game Tournaments, Magic the Gathering Tournament, & Open-Play Board Games

Directions for Parking & Finding Shepherd Union Ballrooms

On Saturday, you can park for free at the Dee Event Center and take the OGX shuttle to 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's Shepherd Union Building.  Closer to the building are parking lots right next to the big pond. If you have larger set ups, there is a round-about by the Browning Center for Performing Arts to be closer to Union. Otherwise we will have carts available on the ground floor of the Shepherd Union building to assist people in moving their equipment. Saturday parking is free. Video Game Tournament Schedule (11/2)

10 a.m.

League of Legends Tournament

5v5 lan tournament. 500$ ($100 per player) in amazon gift cards will be awarded to the winning team and $100 in amazon gift cards will be awarded to second place. Your team must include at least 3 people in person but online players are allowed. Bring your set ups and be ready to play by 10 am.


Valorant Tournament

5v5 lan tournament. 500$ ($100 per player) in amazon gift cards will be awarded to the winning team and $100 in amazon gift cards will be awarded to second place. Your team must include at least 3 people in person but online players are allowed. Bring your set ups and be ready to play by 10 am.

Smash Ultimate Tournament

Singles 1vs1 tournament In person. Top 4 prize is 1st place gets $200 in amazon gift cards 2nd place gets $100 in amazon gift cards and 3rd and 4th place gets $50 in amazon gift cards. Registration will take place at the event.

4 p.m.

Mario Kart Tournament
The 2 players with the most points by the last round will be awarded $50 in amazon gift cards. Tournament will be played in 150 cc. Bring your consoles and be ready to play by 4pm. Registration will take place at the event.

Board Game Open-Play 
Join us for an exciting Open-Play Board Game event where everyone is welcome to borrow games from our extensive library and enjoy a day of fun! Bring your friends, or make new ones, while trying out some new games or playing your favorites. There is no cost for attendance and our volunteers will be on hand to help with game rules and setup.

1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Magic The Gathering Tournament
Bring your own Commander deck and compete in pods of four to win booster packs. Commander decks must not contain cards banned from the format and cannot contain proxies. There will also be a space dedicated for casual MTG play on Saturday. Registration will take place at the event. There may be a $5 entry fee.
