More Grad Finale Information

• Can’t Attend Grad Finale?

  Starting Nov. 14 you will be able to order your graduation cap, gown and other accessories online and . Your items will still be free but you will have to pay for shipping. In order to have your items shipped to you, place your order by Nov. 22.

  If you submit your later than Nov. 22, you can still receive your graduation cap, gown and other accessories and pick them up at the Ogden campus in the days leading up to graduation, or at the Dee Event Center the day of commencement, Dec. 13.

• Veterans

  You can receive a veteran stole at Grad Finale if you are graduating with a two-year or four-year degree. If you are unable to attend but would like the stole, contact Veterans Services at militaryaffiliated@weber.edu.

• Departmental Honor Medallions

  Departmental honor medallions to be worn at graduation are given out by individual departments at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ and are for students that have enrolled in, and are now graduating from, the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Honors Program. Medallions can be picked up at the Honors Center in the Stewart Library, Room 324.

• Graduating with GPA Honors

  Graduating with honors is based on a student’s cumulative 91¶ÌÊÓƵ grade point average and is indicated in the commencement program, diploma and transcript. 

  Students who qualify for GPA honors at graduation may pick up an honor cord with their cap and gown at Grad Finale. Students belonging to a private or national honor society should contact the honor society concerning any academic regalia.

  There are no GPA Honors for Master’s degrees or certificates. Contact the Honors Program for additional information.

  GPA Honor Categories
  All students graduating with GPA honors receive the same purple and white cord regardless of which category you are in.

  Bachelors Degrees

  • Summa Cum Laude: GPA of 3.9 or higher
  • Magna Cum Laude: GPA of 3.8 or higher
  • Cum Laude: GPA of 3.6 or higher

  Associate Degrees

  • High Honors: GPA of 3.85 or higher
  • Honors: GPA of 3.6 or higher
