Advising
Academic advising is a collaborative educational process where you and your advisor are partners in meeting learning outcomes, ensuring your academic success and outlining the steps for achieving your personal, academic and career goals. It is important to meet with your Academic Advisor often to make sure you are on track to graduate.
Meet with the HPER Academic Advisor throughout your course of study for the following:
- Declaring your major
- Discussing course requirements
- Planning your course schedule
- Staying on track for graduation
Note: During peak advisement times, you may need to book an appointment a week or two in advance. Monday walk-in hours are usually conducted from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Students will be seen on a first come/first seen basis for a quick (usually 10 minutes or less) appointment.
