In Andrea’s view, the natural world is an endless source of inspiration, solace, and delight, and our greatest responsibility is to study it, protect it, and celebrate it. With The Nature Conservancy, Andrea engages people in meaningful conservation work through volunteer, outreach, and education programs.
She has been instrumental in initiatives like planting thousands of native plants to restore habitats throughout Utah and the West, and leading the Wings & Water Wetlands Education program which provides hands-on Great Salt Lake experiences to thousands of students annually. A verifiable nerd, Andrea loves to study plants, birds, bugs, rocks, and our connection to place.
For 15 years, Andrea has advocated for collaborative, science-based conservation and education in Utah. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, birding, skiing, backpacking, scuba diving, and watercolor painting.
