– Developing, Adopting, and Executing 100% Renewable Energy Resolutions at the Local Level
Emily E. Skill is pursuing a MS in Environment and Society at Utah State University. Her master’s thesis identifies strategies for successful adoption and implementation of renewable energy resolutions within local government. Originally from Ohio, Emily holds a BS in Geology and a GIS certificate from the University of Dayton. Emily was an active member on the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Advisory Board (RECAB) for Logan, Utah, where she helped develop a roadmap to assist the city in reaching its goal for 50% renewable electricity by 2030, created a Green Business Program pilot project, and worked to implement a city-wide plastic bag ban. Upon graduating with her master’s degree from USU this spring, Emily hopes to apply her skillset in a sustainability focused career.
