Ryan Beam
Public Lands Campaigner at the Center for Biological Diversity
– The People’s Energy Movement in Utah
Ryan Beam works as a Public Lands Campaigner with the Center for Biological Diversity to protect the many magnificent landscapes in Utah. After earning a degree in natural resource management from Colorado State University, he was a contractor for the Grand Canyon Trust before joining the Center. Much of his work focuses on fighting fossil fuel extraction and infrastructure in the interest of protecting the vast array of species in Utah and the public lands they depend on. He participates in organizing with the region’s youth-led climate justice movement, which is ushering in a just transition away from fossil fuel dependency in the Southwest.
