Shellie Barrus is relatively new to sustainability work. Her 17-year background in affordable housing development with Habitat for Humanity led her to investigate how energy savings could really benefit their homeowners long term affordability with relatively little up-front costs. This led her down the path to see that sustainability and energy saving are best for the planet as well. She started incorporating sustainable builds into Habitat builds back in 2012 when they completed 2 LEED Platinum homes in Old Town Park City. Habitat is currently building 2 ZERH in Summit County.
