Tyler Hacking is a botanist from UVU who built an integrated compost system for the university after graduating. His system takes waste products like cardboard, newspaper, food waste, leaves and more then feeds them to worms to produce vermicompost which is used to make compost tea. With this concentrated organic fertilizer he can regenerate salt damaged grass, increase the transplant success rate of trees and increase the yield and nutritional content of food crops. His focus is soil regeneration using local microbes to transform soil. He works with clients across the state and country as a consultant to heal the soils of the earth.
