Professional Sales Highlights

Weber State has the only 4-year professional sales program of its kind in the Western United States. You can earn this degree on campus or completely online. Our program also offers a 2-year sales and merchandising degree.

Join the Professional Sales Student Association (PSSA) to build your resume, earn scholarships, and travel to national conferences, such as DECA and others, on leadership, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality, management, and more.

Weber State was named a top university for professional sales by the Sales Education Foundation in 2016.

 

Beyond the Classroom

Weber State’s Alan E. Hall Center for Sales Excellence connects students to faculty and sales leaders and organizations through classes, speaking events and more. As a professional sales student, you’ll also gain experience through internships and cooperative placements.

What You’ll LEARN at Weber

Weber State’s professional sales program will train you in a broad range of professional sales topics, including sales and service technology, retail merchandising and buying methods, personalities and profiles, customer service, and supervisory and team leadership skills. The program will also train you with the following skills:

  • Sales negotiation, channels, planning and forecasting, presentation strategies and techniques
  • Sales ethics

What You CAN DO After Weber

With your degree, you are qualified to guide and work with industry leaders to sell products or services to other businesses, plants, professionals, and public and private institutions. Our graduates hold positions such as director of marketing, financial advisor, medical device and equipment sale manager, national sales director, operations manager, sales executive, analyst, or consultant, and VP of sales.
