Percussion Ensemble

March to the beat of your own drum

91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Sam Bryson (jacobbryson@weber.edu), prepares a distinct program each semester including percussion chamber, percussion orchestra, and world percussion ensembles.

Students explore rhythm and beat through a variety of instruments and musical genres. Percussion ensemble performances often feature marimba quartets, percussion quintets, Pantastica (91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s own steel pan ensemble), and works for large percussion ensembles.

Membership in the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Percussion Ensemble is by audition or consent of the instructor. Participation fulfills the chamber ensemble requirement for music majors and can be repeated seven times with a maximum of eight credit hours.
