Education

More than 20% of students in the Ogden School District are English Language Learners. The School District serves a higher percentage of Hispanic-Latino students than any other Utah district. The high school graduation rate is 80% for White students, 75% for Black students and 77% for Hispanic-Latino students. A total of 72% of the residents in the East Central Neighborhod are high school graduates and 11% with bachelors or higher degrees. To increase the educational opportunities in the area, the Education committee has developed six goals that will address English as a second language for students and adults, increase graduation rates, increase family educational opportunities, and support education through increased quality of life and careers. These ambitious goals will extend through collaborative work with our anchoring institutions and partners.
