1.0    PURPOSE

This policy establishes student residency consistent with criteria established by the Utah Board of Higher Education and law.

3.0    POLICY

3.1    It is the policy of the University to follow applicable law and Utah Board of Higher Education policy regarding student residency for purposes of tuition (see Utah Code § 53B-8-102 and Utah Board of Higher Education Policy R512). This includes standards for determining what is considered “resident” student status, reviewing exceptions, and reviewing an appeal of a denial of resident student status.
