Academic Calendar

On October 22, 2008, the President's Council approved a tri-semester academic calendar for 91¶ÌÊÓƵ.  Since then, additional changes have been made to align the calendar with the changing needs of the institution, faculty, and students.

FALL SEMESTER

  • 71 days of instruction
  • 4 days for final exams
  • 1 day for graduation
  • Two blocks (labeled 1st and 2nd block)
  • 2nd block utilizes final exam days
  • Class duration of 50 minutes with 10-minute breaks
  • The standard break between fall and spring semesters, 15 days

SPRING SEMESTER

  • 69 days of instruction
  • 3 days for final exams
  • 2 days for graduation and commencement
  • Two blocks (labeled 1st and 2nd block)
  • 2nd block utilizes final exam days
  • Class duration of 50 minutes with 10-minute breaks
  • 1 week of spring break in March between 1st and 2nd block
  • The standard break between spring and summer semesters, 15 days

SUMMER SEMESTER

  • 67 days of instruction
  • 3 days for final exams
  • 1 day for graduation
  • Two blocks (labeled 1st and 2nd block)
  • 2nd block utilizes final exam days
  • Class duration of 50 minutes with 10-minute breaks
  • The standard break between summer and fall semesters, 7 days
