Message from Festival Chair

Welcome to the 29th Annual Weber Storytelling Festival! We are delighted to feature five national tellers (Bil Lepp, Lyn Ford, Kim Weitkamp, & Antonio Sacre, and our own festival fellow, Sam Payne) along with more than thirty regional tellers and over 80 youth tellers. We also are pleased to feature Darren Perry, former chair of the Northwest Band of the Shoshone Nation at our Storytelling Symposium on the second day of the festival. Watch our event calendar for additional events sponsored by the Weber Storytelling Festival and our partners throughout the year.

This year, we are renewing our focus on literature and literacy as reflected in our new festival theme: Promoting Literacy through the Art of Storytelling. Many of the performances and workshops that we are organizing in schools and libraries center on this theme. If you have ideas for additional events, please let us know. As always, all events (other than our fundraising dinner, of course) are offered completely free to the public through generous donations from our sponsors and collaborations with our partners.
