Student Access and Success Student Advisory Board
The Student Advisory Board (SAB) for Student Access and Success at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ exists to provide feedback on the University’s initiatives and support services. SAB members advocate for student needs, represent the student body, and work to enhance the reach and impact of our office’s services across the campus.
The SAB’s core purpose is to provide student perspectives and another bridge between the student body and Student Access and Success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Representing the voice of students to recommend improvements to campus programs, resources, and initiatives.
- Providing critical feedback on the effectiveness of existing and potential programs.
- Sharing feedback on surveys and focus groups to gather and interpret data on student needs and perspectives.
- Collaborating with Student Access and Success to develop and improve student-centered initiatives.
- Serving as a liaison between SAS and students to increase access to, and awareness of, services.
- Engaging in outreach activities to share information about resources available to students.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
- Availability to attend monthly SAB meetings and participate in Office of Student Access and Success events.
Expectations:
- Initial onboarding 1/2 day training in August.
- The board meets monthly for 90 minutes throughout the academic year.
Students Receive:
- Development of leadership, communication and professional skills.
- A $250 stipend for the academic year as recognition of their time and commitment.
Application Process:
Applications for the SAB are accepted during the spring semester. Selected students are notified before the end of each spring semester.
