HIEEs Pay
91¶ÌÊÓƵ is committed to providing transformative experiences for all students and creating access to these experiences. The HIEEs Pay program removes barriers for students to participate in high impact educational experiences (HIEEs). These experiences help 91¶ÌÊÓƵ students achieve their educational and professional goals and better prepare them for future opportunities.
Under the HIEEs Pay program, students earn $11.50 an hour and are eligible to earn up to $1500 to participate in these experiences. Once approved, eligible HIEEs Pay students can log hours the first day of the semester and up to the last day of the semester. Hours cannot be logged in between semesters.
Participating HIEEs that Pay91¶ÌÊÓƵ HIEEs:
Community Engaged Learning (CEL)
The Center for Community Engaged Learning student leadership teams provide 91¶ÌÊÓƵ students the opportunity to plan, facilitate, and participate in meaningful community engagement opportunities throughout their time at Weber State. Students can choose to participate with the Community Engaged Pathways Fellowship and the Alternative Breaks program.
- Pathway Fellows (up to 10 hours/week)
- Alternative Breaks (hours vary throughout the semesters)
Global Learning Experiences (GLB)
Global Ambassadors are connected with international exchange students to provide guidance, assistance, and a sense of belonging during their time at the university.
Requirements:
- Eligible for up to 30 hrs/semester
- Must apply by the second week of classes
Internship (INT)
Experiential education in a professional setting, where students combine classroom learning with practical skills and application, for an employer.
- Be enrolled in an INT designated course.
- Participate in a not-for-credit internship
- Eligible for up to 130 hr
Leadership
The Student Leadership Development Series is a semester-long educational series that explores leadership theories, competencies, and concepts. Participants will be challenged to apply newly learned content to aspects of their individual lives– occupational, relational, or as witnessed in current events.
- Available both at Ogden Campus and Davis Campus and held every other week.
- Eligible for up to 30 hrs for the semester.
Requirements:
- Must be a matriculated Weber State undergraduate student
Mentoring (MENT)
- Be a Mount Ogden Junior High Rising Scholars mentor
Undergraduate Research (CRE)
Undergraduate Research Ambassadors will share their stories at various campus events to promote the benefits of undergraduate research and raise awareness of OUR's programs among the broader student body.
Requirements:
- Must have participated in at least one Office of Undergraduate Research program, such as the Undergraduate Research Grant, Research Fellows Program, Summer Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, CRE-Designated Courses, and presenting at the Research & Engagement Symposium.
- Students must apply and be accepted into the program and meet eligibility requirements.
- Ambassadors will attend training sessions and share their experiences at various campus events.
- Eligible for up to 40 hrs per semester.
Sustainability (SUS)
A student engaged in this sustainability HIEE will play a vital role in enhancing their sustainability knowledge while contributing to the growth of campus and community engagement in sustainability initiatives.

Am I Eligible?
I am a current 91¶ÌÊÓƵ undergraduate student with 0-89 completed credit hours. I am eligible for on campus employment. My GPA is 2.0 or higher. I am registered as a full-time student (12+ hours during fall and/or spring semesters and 6+ hours during summer semester). I am enrolled in the . I have completed this year’s FAFSA. (Not yet?
