Nurse Leader: Executive

Provides advanced administrative skills to nurses who have a non-administration focused MSN degree.

In this program, you will gain knowledge and skills required to function as an effective nurse administrator.

Upon graduation, you will be able to apply sound evidence-based concepts and strategies to ensure organizational quality and delivery of patient care, establish a professional practice environment, facilitate shared governance, establish an interdisciplinary care model across populations in multiple settings, manage resources with vision and accountability and provide leadership in the utilization of research.

Certificate courses may not be concurrently applied towards the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ MSN degree.

Nurse Leader: Educator

Provides advanced educator skills to nurses who have a non-education focused MSN degree and advanced knowledge in curriculum development, assessment and evaluation and teaching strategies to educators with an MSN degree.

In this program, you will gain the knowledge and skills required to function as an effective nurse educator.

Combining current professional expertise with the knowledge of teaching and learning strategies, you will expand and enhance you role in health care or as an academic-based educator. You will also be able to apply evidence-based concepts and strategies to augment your learning and provide leadership in the utilization of research.

How to Apply

Requirements

  • A minimum grade of “B-” is required in all courses and an overall program GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • You must be a graduate with a master of nursing degree.

Applications & Checklists

Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis. The Post Masters Certificate programs only start each fall semester - fall 2024 / spring 2025.
