The Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor program recognizes and rewards faculty members who have displayed incredible dedication to teaching and education.

Faculty members selected will be recognized with the title Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor, which will be retained throughout their tenure at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ. Upon retirement from 91¶ÌÊÓƵ, faculty will carry the title Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor Emeritus.

Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor awardees will receive a cash award in the total amount of $16,000, payable over four years in the amount of $4,000 per year as a salary supplement or funds for professional development or research support. Payments will continue until the full $16,000 is received as long as the awardee remains employed by 91¶ÌÊÓƵ.

To be eligible for the Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor award, candidates must be a 91¶ÌÊÓƵ faculty member for at least five years, be tenured and hold the title of full professor. Current administrators are not eligible.

Faculty members are nominated by current or past 91¶ÌÊÓƵ colleagues, administrators or students. Nominees are evaluated by a selected group of senior faculty and academic administrators appointed by the provost. The finalists are recommended by the university president to the Board of Trustees for approval.

Those wishing to nominate faculty for the Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor Award should email a letter of nomination to provostwsu@weber.edu. The selection will be based on the letter of nomination. Additional materials will not be solicited from the nominees.

Nomination deadline: February 9, 2024.

Awardees will formally receive the honor at the spring 91¶ÌÊÓƵ commencement ceremonies.
