Hourly Child Care
Weber State’s Hourly Child Care provides Flexible and Affordable child care for 91¶ÌÊÓƵ students. Child care is available for any academic-related activity, including classes, studying, testing, tutoring, practicum placements, internships, clinicals, and student teaching.

Child Care Details
Pricing
- The cost for students is $3.50 per hour.
- The cost for faculty/staff is $6 per hour.
- There is a non-refundable $15 application fee.
- Pre-payment for care is due every Friday before care can be provided the following week. Funds must be in the account prior to the first week of attendance. Unused funds will carry forward to the next week.
Requirements
- Care is available for children six weeks through Kindergarten. Children ages 6 weeks to 2 years old (Infants) can attend up to six (6) hours per day. Children are unable to attend once they are in first grade.

Children do not need to be fully potty trained to attend. The child care staff are not responsible for potty training. They will provide guidance and assistance as needed.

Infants six weeks to two years old must wear diapers.

Toddlers two years old through kindergarten must wear pull-ups or underwear.

- All parents, new and returning, must submit a new application and complete a parent orientation each semester.
- While hourly child care is primarily for students, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ employees may use the center during the summer and throughout the year as space is available.
Schedule
Summer Hours:
- Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Fall & Spring Hours:
- Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Friday from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Each day is filled with a variety of activities including outdoor playtime, Children's Choice Learning Centers Activities, nap time, snacks and more.
The child care will be closed between semesters, holidays, and breaks when the .
Hourly Care vs Back-up Care
We offer two different types of care:
- Hourly Care: A set schedule that remains the same each week, but may change each semester.
- Back-up Care: An alternative form of care (e.g. if your child’s primary care provider is unavailable).
- You must call 801-626-7798 and email wsuhourlychildcare@weber.edu at least one hour in advance to confirm availability.
