    Introduction to Health Careers and Care in a Diverse Society
    This course will introduce you to job functions, professional qualities and responsibilities for a variety of healthcare professions. You will learn valuable campus resources, tools for college success and what it takes to become a competitive candidate for 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's nationally recognized health professions programs.

    What You Will Learn
    You will gain knowledge on personality types, the meaning of being a professional healthcare professional and the vital importance of quality healthcare. In addition, you will acquire skills in time management and team exercises.

Associate of Health Sciences

  • How to Apply & Programs Offered

    The Associate of Science degree in Health Sciences is a year-round, open-enrollment program with six emphases choices, including: Dental Hygiene, General Health Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nursing, Radiologic Sciences and Respiratory Therapy. This allows you to declare a degree early on and take courses that will help guide you towards your program of interest. Information sheet.

    Our applicant checklist reviews each step you need to take to be a successful candidate for this program. This checklist is crucial!     • Medical Terminology (HTHS 1101) is highly recommended before your first course in anatomy and physiology.
