How to Develop a Policy
Policy writers should use the following policy templates and style guides during the policy development process.
- Fill out the to summarize the policy, indicate the reasons for the policy proposal, identify potential stakeholders
- Submit the Summary Document to policy@weber.edu who will work with the appropriate policy sponsor.
- Once you have approval from the policy sponsor to move forward with your policy proposal, work with the Policy Office to move your proposal forward (contact policy@weber.edu)
- All new policy proposals or changes to existing policies must be presented with redlines in the to standardize the formatting of policies
Style Guides
Use the Policy Style Guide as guidance for policy formatting, style, and grammar conventions. All policies must comply with the editorial conventions in the Policy Style Guide.
Use the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Writing Style Guide as guidance on general written communication including capitalization, spelling and punctuation.
