Students in MPC 6400, Leadership Communication, created a podcast series focused on mentoring future leaders as their final project. These podcasts integrate leadership theories, course readings, information from guest speakers (President Brad Mortensen, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ President; Dr. Rosemary Lesser, Utah Legislator; Taylor Knuth, SLC Deputy Director of Economic Development; and Amir Jackson, Founder/Director of Nurture the Creative Mind), and personal interviews to explore the importance of mentorship in various contexts. Peer Mentoring at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ is an amazing way for students to support each other in the academic and social aspects of their experience. Peer Mentors develop leadership skills and apply them in their roles as they learn and grow along with their mentees.
