Why get a Master of Professional Communication degree?
Master of Professional Communication: Admission Requirements
The admission committee evaluates applicants on an individual basis. Ideal applicants have a strong academic record, positive letters of recommendation and professional accomplishments. We aim for a class of working professionals with various backgrounds in for-profit, government or non-profit organizations. The Master of Professional Communication (MPC) program has limited enrollment.
Application Deadline: November 1, 2024 for Spring 2025
Application Requirements
- Current resume
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Official transcripts from every institution of higher education attended
- Three letters of recommendation (academic or professional)
- Two essay questions on the online application
- $60 application fee ($95 for international applicants)
International Students
- TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based)
- An equivalent IELTS score
- TOEFL or IELTS score must not be older than two years

Transferring Credit Hours
- The program director must approve transfer credits
- Students may not transfer more than 12 hours of credit
- Transfer classes must be at an appropriate level and fulfill MPC objectives
- Credits of required courses for another degree cannot be used toward the MPC degree
